Project Details:

The objective of the project was to provide metro connectivity to people from Central Secretariat to Qutub Minar Corridor of Phase-II. This was the second project under Delhi Metro’s phase II expansion program. Part of this project was awarded to L&T. It has three underground metro stations with a TBM based Tunnel including one ramp. The Waterproofing system of this project started in February 2008 and was completed in February 2011.

Project Approach & Product Offering :

CHRYSO India efficiently completed the challenging underground waterproofing works within the tight deadline of DMRC schedule.

In this project, DMRC introduced TBM for underground tunneling & PVC Membrane for Station building waterproofing. L&T got a part of this project from DMRC and awarded to CHRYSO India for waterproofing their project. CHRYSO India did the waterproofing of entire underground metro stations & ramp by using twin colour 2 mm thick PVC Membrane. It was the first project of CHRYSO India where the total waterproofing completed by PVC Membrane.

1. PVC Membrane waterproofing system as primary water barrier - More than 83,000 m2
2. Hydro Swellable Water bars for construction joint treatment.
3. Entire repairs of Diaphragm Wall at Metro stations.
4. Bore well plugging.
5. Tunnel Crown Waterproofing.
6. Tunnel segment repairs.
